  Landmine Action Week

Landmine Action Week is a nationwide week of action to raise funds and awareness of the dangers faced by millions of people on a daily basis all over the world.

This years Landmine Action Week ran between Monday 31st October and Sunday 6th November and was an undoubted success.  With donations still being received, our current total of funds raised stands at £6,019.39.

BBC Radio Guernsey played a series of pieces every week day during Landmine Action Week.  To listen to the pieces click on the link.

On Saturday 5th November over 600 pairs of shoes were donated for the Soroptimist International shoe pyramid in St Peter Port.  Gabriel's generously donated at least 30 pairs of new shoes to the pyramid.  The shoes have been given to the Salvation Army so they can be redistributed where there is a need.

A flag day was held at both Checkers and Forest Stores in Guernsey on Saturday 5th November.  We would like to sincerely thank all the volunteers who gave up their time.

If you organised your own event please tell us about it email or call 01481 233780.
